EMF and the Paranormal
Blog Disclaimer: Some of the info in this blog on EMF I may have touched on before, but due to recent emails, I’m repeating some of it.
First, once again for those certain people who just don’t “get it”.
Paranormal:
Cambridge Dictionary: Impossible to explain by known natural forces or by science.
Britannica Defines: Very strange and not able to be explained by what scientists know about nature and the world.
Oxford Dictionary: That cannot be explained by science or reason and that seems to involve mysterious forces.
Paranormal is, Aliens, Ghosts, Bigfoot, Mothman, Cattle Mutilations, Loch Ness Monster, Flying Unicorns, Carrot Top, anything that modern day science cannot explain.
IT IS NOT THE ONLY DEFINITION FOR GHOSTS!
If you’ve read some of my previous blogs, you’ll know that I talk about EMF quite a bit. EMF (electro-magnetic-field) levels is something UFO investigators have been monitoring for years in relation to UFO sightings. Decades ago, UFO investigators would use a compass, now it’s an EMF meter. Ghost investigators also use EMF meters as a detection device to determine if a spirit is nearby. Spirits give off low levels of EMF, and Alien devices will also give off levels of EMF in a residual form. If a witness experience’s a UFO event in or just outside their residence, then an EMF meter will be able to pick up residual EMF from technology the Aliens use. This residual EMF can be in the soil, embedded in the walls of a structure or a vehicle, and even a dead cow too! I’ve measured that, 100 microteslas from the head of a mutilated cow.
What is EMF?
EMF is an electric and magnetic field that is invisible areas of energy. Categorized by frequency in two groups, (non-ionizing) and (ionizing), the non-ionizing is generally harmless to humans whereas the ionizing can be quite harmful.
Non-ionizing examples: Microwave ovens, computers, WiFi networks, cell phones, Bluetooth devices, etc.
Ionizing examples: X-Rays, sunlight, gamma rays, alpha particles, beta particles, positrons, etc.
When using an EMF meter, you have to be aware of your surroundings and be aware of everything that emits EMF which can interfere with your investigation. Running a ghost investigation or UFO investigation in an enclosed structure, you’ll need to sweep the entire structure first, taking note of anything within that structure that emits EMF. Mark everything down.
When running an investigation using EMF meters, all cell phones need to be turned off. Even if you put the phone on airplane mode, it’s still communicating with the cell towers. And do not use cell phone apps while running an investigation, the cell phone app is just software manipulating the technology of the phone for the app. The app itself cannot shield itself from the energy emitting from the phone, and your app may interfere with your EMF measurements.
USE PROPER EQUIPEMENT!
I cannot stress this enough. Unless your app is tracking weather, airlines, star charts or something to help aid your investigation, never use any app for measurement. And on a side note, use a real camera not a cell phone camera, the larger the lens, the better. Cell phone cameras use software to get good pictures with small lenses, the software they use could eliminate any anomalies you want, to give you a clear picture.
For a proper indoor investigation, WIFI will need to be turned off, Bluetooth devices will also need to be turned off, basically everything in the structure needs to be turned off. Now that may cause issues, so a simple sweep of the structure locating areas of higher than normal EMF readings is sufficient. Be aware of those areas during an investigation so you don’t get false readings.
If you want to setup DVR cameras, it’s best to use cameras that are insulated cable connected. This way you’ll get better results during the investigation by eliminating unwanted Wi-Fi and Bluetooth transmitters which cause EMF.
Here’s something interesting; Granite countertops.
Did you know Granite and several other types of rocks contains small amounts of uranium. So you may unexpectedly pick up higher levels of EMF where rock counter tops exist. Also, even though the TV or monitors are turned off or the computers are on sleep mode, they are still running and giving off EMF.
How about that camera you’re holding, or maybe your lapel microphone which is transmitting your voice to a receiver? They are energy sources, so keep your EMF meters away from them. It’s best to keep your EMF meter stationary if you’re not moving, like put it on a table away from you, this way you could capture something coming towards you. Also be aware of flashlights, or any light source, keep the meters away from them too!
A good rule of thumb is, keep your EMF meter away from anything that has a battery or is plugged in.
When I check EMF readings outdoors, especially for an animal mutilation investigation, I have to be aware of fertilizer storage. Yep, according to the EPA, phosphate fertilizers contain some of the naturally occurring radium found in phosphate ores.
For ghost hunters that are running an investigation in a museum or any structure with antiques, many items found there may contain radioactive components which will give EMF false readings.
EPA: Among the furniture, clothing, jewelry, books, dolls, dishes, and many other objects sold at flea markets and antique shops, you will likely find items that contain radioactive compounds. These items were generally made and originally sold before the health effects of radiation were well understood and long before radiation protection regulations were put in place.
Note: Any “older” object that glows under a black light, may have uranium in it. Remember those analog watches back in the day that glowed at night so you can see the time, yep radium.
How about today, do we still use radioactive elements to make things glow or to see better at night? Yep, Tritium for one. For you gun enthusiasts out there you know what it’s used for, night sites. Tritium is ionizing radiation known as a beta particle and is considered a hazardous material. Gun sites use so little of it, there’s no need to be concerned. We have strict regulations now.
What about EMF and humans? Yes, you have to consider all other humans during an investigation when measuring EMF. Humans are walking 100 picofarad capacitors.
The Human Body uses Electricity (quote, link below):
Electricity is everywhere, even in the human body. Our cells are specialized to conduct electrical currents. Electricity is required for the nervous system to send signals throughout the body and to the brain, making it possible for us to move, think and feel.
The fact that we humans are walking electronic devices enables some of us to be more perceptive to some types of Paranormal energies. Some of these people are considered Intuitive. This means, Having the ability to know or understand something without any direct evidence or reasoning process.

As mentioned earlier, humans are walking capacitors but we also give off radiation. Well it’s mostly infrared radiation which is electromagnetic radiation, that’s why we can alter EMF meter readings. We also give off frequencies. The whole-body fundamental resonant frequency can vary from around 5 Hz to about 10Hz depending on how it was measured.
(Hz) Hertz defined: Hertz equals the number of cycles per second, generally used by measuring electromagnetic waves.
Because we humans are electronic beings, we are also very unique. Each one of us transmits a specific frequency different than anyone else. Sorta like an electronic fingerprint.
One theory I’ve been kicking around is:
If every human gives off their own unique energy, like an aura, then could it be possible for a very advanced technological race visiting this planet, keep track of certain people just by their energy source? Frequencies?
I think it’s possible. Maybe the Alien Implants in abductees are not for tracking, but for storing body functions and behavior. The abductees are being tracked by their unique body energy signatures. That’s why some abductees are still abducted once they move to a different state or country.
If you have a device that can detect particular energies, like we have spy satellites looking for and detecting all kinds of things across this planet, then an Alien could use their technology to easily track specific humans they are interested in.
Scary? Not really, it’s just technology, technology that also gives off electro-magnetic waves in which we may be able to track them. This is something I mentioned in one of my previous blogs.
We can track spirits using EMF and I believe we can track aliens and their bases using EMF too! We should be able look for Nessie by using an underwater EMF tracking device and could also use that same type of technology while looking for Bigfoot. If you emit energy, if your technology emits energy, then we can measure it and track it.
Either way it appears, “EMF and the Paranormal go hand in hand”, and the more we learn about these electronic fields, the more we understand them, then the easier it will be for us to track and locate, the Paranormal.
